Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the postcode of the festival?
- Are dogs allowed on site?
Dogs are allowed into the site/field but must stay in the outer field area and are not allowed into the marquee or in the outside children's area. Guide dogs are allowed.
- Can I bring children?
Yes! Abbfest is suitable for all the family; children under 16 are free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult/parent or guardian.
- How can I get to the festival?
Once again we will be running a FREE shuttle bus from Grey Cars to the festival site from Newton Abbot with various stops and pick up points along the way.
- Can I get involved and work at Abbfest?
Everyone working at Abbfest is a volunteer and has kindly given up their time for free, if you would like to earn free entry to the festival by working a stint on the bar or in other positions please do get in touch! Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest. Please respect our volunteers and do not be offended if you are asked for ID.
- Is there parking available?
There is plenty of FREE parking on site, cars can be left overnight if required. Cars are left at owners risk - PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE- We have a free bus if our beer is too good to resist! If cars left in Fermoy's car park can be collected as early as possible the next morning that would be appreciated.
- Can I camp or stay in a caravan on site overnight?
Unfortunately not, no tents or campervans/caravans/static homes of any sort are permitted to stay overnight. Any vehicle can be left overnight to avoid drink driving. Where possible do not plan to leave your vehicle overnight and make use of our shuttle buses who operate both ways.
- Do I need to bring ID?
We run a challenge 25 policy, so if you're lucky enough to look under 25, BRING IDENTIFICATION! No ID, No Drinks! Identification will need to be of the passport / driving licence variety.
- How can I get a ticket and tokens for drinks?
Tickets and drinks tokens are non-refundable. Weekend passes can be bought online, or day entry at the gate.
Tokens are available to buy at the festival site ONLY and can only be bought with CASH. Tokens can be used to buy ONLY Beer, Wine or Cider. Tokens are £1.50 each, and each token = 1/2 a pint.
- Can I leave & re-enter the festival?
If you pay for day entry you will be given a wristband (kindly sponsored by the wonderful FOX TOR CAFE of Princetown) at the gate. Weekend Ticket holders will get a wristband that will last the whole weekend - don't remove it!
- What drinks are available from the bar?
Beer and Cider are available from the main bars, they can only be served in a stamped glass detailing the pint/half pint measures. This is part of Abbfest's license and on no occasion will you be served alcohol in any other glass. If you have an Abbfest glass from previous years, then please feel free to bring it along. Pimms, Prosecco and Wine are also available.
You can not bring any alcohol into the festival and security may search you upon entry
- What if it's raining?
Unfortunately we never know what the Great British Weather will do, but with our large and spacious marquee offers plenty of shelter in case of bad weather.
- Is there any seating?
We have tables and chairs available both inside and outside, however to guarantee having somewhere comfortable to sit, you are more than welcome to bring your own chairs or blankets/rugs, but you may be asked to move to certain areas prior to evening events where there will be a dance area.
