Abbfest Home Page

Abbfest is a celebration of local food, drink, crafts and entertainment.

Last year's Festival ran from Friday 23 September to Sunday 25 September in the field next to Fermoys Garden Centre Totnes Road, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot TQ12 5TN.

 

We had a fantastic time, we hope you did to.

Raising money for local charities and good causes

 

 

We had over 150 Real Ales and Ciders, all brewed in Devon (including two silver medal winners at this year's Great British Beer Festival).

• 70 Devon Food and Craft stalls (Saturday & Sunday)
  
• Cookery Demonstrations (Saturday)
• Hog Roast; BBQ; Pies, Pizzas etc.
• Children's entertainment

Ann Widdecombe - local resident and recent Strictly Come Dancing Star, kindly opened the Festival on the Saturday morning.  She even showed her skills behind the bar, although confessed that she did not like beer!!!!

 

And as if that wasn't enough, Ann was soon assisting Michelin Star Chef, Michael Caines demonstrating how to prepare some succulent dishes.

 

We had over 6000 visitors to Abbfest 2011 and it looks as though we have raised a record £30,000!  We will soon be considering applications for grants from local organisations and charities.

 

The dates for Abbfest 2012 are Friday 21 September  to Sunday 23 September.
